Answer: They make about 1.25 each day for working 12 hours.

2. What is life like for Indonesian Nike workers at home?

Answer: Life for people in Indonesia is bad because they don't have a matres to sleep on and they also don't have food.

3. Why won’t Nike talk to Jim or Leslie or let them visit the shoe factory?

Answer: They probably don't want Jim or Leslie to see that Nike makes people work hard in bad conditions.

1. What does it mean to “make a decent living”?  What should you be able to afford to buy?

Answer: It means to be middle class. You should be able to buy a lot of things for example, cars or houses.

2. Where do your sneakers come from?  Who makes them?

Answer: I think my sneakers come from a factory. People.

3. What is a sweatshop (take a guess, even if you have no idea)?

Answer: I think a sweatshop is a factory where people work hard and get a little amount of money.

1. Do you think consumers (people who buy things) have the right to sue McDonald's for selling unhealthy food? Why or why not?

Answer: Yes because eating McDonald's leads to high cholesterol, heartburn, and heart attacks.

2. McDonald's is the largest owner of private playgrounds in the world. What other ways  does McDonald's use to market their food to children?

Answer: The toys in the happy meals and their clown Ronald.

3.  How many calories do you think a healthy kid should eat in a day?  According to the movie, how many calories are in a Super Size fries?  How about a Double Gulp soda?

Answer: A growing girl should eat about 1850 calories a day and a growing boy should eat 2200. The super size fries have over 600 calories, and the double gulp soda has

1. How many times a week do you eat at McDonalds or other fast food restaurants? Do you ever think about whether what you are eating is healthy? Why or why not?

Answer: I eat McDonalds once a week and sometimes once a month. I don't really think about it because I know its not healthy that is why i always go home and eat a fruit or i make a vegatable salad.

2. What do you predict will happen to Morgan’s health at the end of the month? Do you think he will remain in perfect health?  

Answer: I think he's gonna get fat gain weight and he's going to shrink.

3. In one scene there is a shot of a McDonalds inside of a hospital. What do you think about that? Do you find it normal, funny, strange, or sad?

Answer: I think it's is normal for a hospital to have a McDonald's because no one wants to walk far to eat something because I know I don't.

Answer: Organic is something that is healthy and vegan is a vegetarian who omits all animal products from the diet.

“The top 5 nasty secrets I learned about the meat and dairy industry…”

1: They don't give them the right food to eat.

2: The dairy factories feed calf's cows blood instead of milk.

3: They make the people work hard which is very dangerous because they get serious injuries. 

4: They do animal cruelty, they give them antibiotics and, growth hormones.

5: When they finish cutting the animals in pieces the manure gets on the meat because the meat that is dirty is traveling to get cleaned above and the meat that is clean is at the bottom.

1. How are dairy farms different from dairy factories?

Answer: The farms treat the cows better than the factories.

2. What is RBGH and what does it do?.

Answer: RBGH is a growth harmon. It makes the cows boobs bigger.

3. What is the milk replacer fed to calves (baby cows) made out of? Why is this bad (besides just being gross)?

Answer: Its made out of cow blood. Its bad because they are suppose to drink milk.

4. Can you do anything to make a difference as a consumer (someone who buys things)?

Answer: Buy organic food.

1. How do factory farms treat animals differently than family farms?

Answer: Factory farms put the animals in tight places and, give them food there not suppose to eat. In a farm the animals get space they eat grass or hay and get well treated.

2. Why are animals fed antibiotics in factory farms and why is this dangerous?

Answer: The animals get injected with antibiotics every day. By doing that the grow another kind of bacteria that can't be cured and when they die then, they cut the animals up and sell it to the markets then we end up eating it.

3. What happens to animal excrement (poop) in factory farms?

Answer: All the poop pollutes the air and the water.

One thing i want to write about is that i like this boy and it looks like he likes me, but 2 of my friends be flurting with him and when they see him and there with me they leave me and go with him. I don't get jealous but i don't like when they do that cuz there my best friends and im their best friend too. Today i was playing with him, i took his sweater and put it on and he was chasing only me around so one of my friends got mad and she yelled come on Abby just give him his sweater. He was far away so i was jogging all the way there cuz i was tiered and my friend just snatched it away from me and gave it to him and she did that "cute"smile i just felt like screaming really loud.

a)  Name one way water sources become contaminated (dirty) in 3rd world countries?

Answer: The people in the 3 countries don't have a toilet and they dig a whole in the dirt and use it as a toilet.

b) What are the dangers of water contamination?

Answer: Who ever drinks the dirty water will die of severe diarrhea.

c) Describe (in your own words) an invention that can save people from drinking contaminated water?

Answer: An aqua duct, life straw and, a clay filter.

d) Why do you think everyone in 3rd world countries do not have these inventions?

Answer: Because the don't have the money to buy the inventions.
